Accompanist

Will Briant

Will Briant joined Ayr Choral as accompanist in August 2025.

Will started his organ studies at the age of 11. Whilst taking a degree in French and Russian at the University of Edinburgh, he studied under Peter Backhouse and held the organ scholarship at both St Giles' and St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral. He attended the Conservatoire de Rayonnement Regional de Toulouse, studying organ and harpsichord under Michel Bouvard and Jan Willem Jansen.

Now based in Glasgow, Will maintains a busy schedule as accompanist, church organist and recitalist alongside his day job as a civil servant. He is one of the assistant organists at St Bride's, Hyndland and deputises across the city, including at St Mungo's Cathedral.
